Matt Curry, CPA

Matt brings more than a decade of experience in public accounting, advisory, and investment banking. His background spans tax consulting, business valuation, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic planning, providing a broad perspective on the financial and operational considerations involved in building and managing a business.

Before founding Fountain Private Wealth with Scott, Matt held roles with Deloitte Tax LLP and Ernst & Young’s Strategy & Transactions practice. His work included M&A valuation, debt and equity valuation, and strategic planning for financial reporting and tax purposes. These experiences gave him the opportunity to work through complex financial questions from multiple perspectives.

Matt later served as a Vice President at MarshBerry, a boutique investment bank, where he led buy-side and sell-side M&A engagements for insurance and wealth management firms. That work added industry-specific transaction experience to his accounting and advisory background, which he now brings to his leadership role at Fountain.

Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting and a Master of Business Administration from John Carroll University. He is a licensed CPA in Ohio and lives in Westlake with his wife, Breanne, and their two children, George and Mary.
